“At the moment the video starts playing, it can be innocent and fun, but it can turn sideways really fast,” Mr. Bowdle stated. Bowdle said some people troll the sites for personal gain or to manipulate kids. “Anyone has access to that content, and that could be anyone in your city, your state, in the US, or for that matter anywhere in the world.” Overexploitation of personal information is a safety concern.
